Modeling and Performance Evaluation of Multiprocessor System Using General Stochastic Petri net

چکیده

Petri Nets are used in the field of computer science for modeling system performance. In this paper, Generalized Stochastic Petri Net (GSPN) is used to model multiprocessor parallel processing architectures. This paper by means of Generalized Stochastic Petri Nets proposes an approach to model the performance evaluation of the multiprocessor system in a greater detail, and describes the model of a multiprocessor architecture, and presents some performance results obtained by simulation of this model. A simplified approach to modeling such architectures is also proposed, which can be easily generalized. The technique described here can be used for the performance analysis of considerably larger systems.
